Holiday Inn Cambridge, an IHG Hotel

I'm going to review this hotel in the price bracket it sits in. We paid £109 for a double room, and I was expecting a basic room and basic hotel. I was very pleased with the hotel. Our room was very comfotable, and it was clean and it was well worth the money we paid. There was a large party planned in the hotel the night that we stayed, so we were placed in the 'quieter' section, and we were not disturbed at all by the party, our room was quiet and we were not disturbed. The reception staff were polite and efficient, and they were very helpful, showing us our rooms before we checked in and providing a wheelchair for an elderly relative to save her walking to the room. The bar was very smart and comfortable, and the service was great. We ordered a pizza as a bar snack and it was a very nice pizza! Breakfast was great, plenty of choice, great service, and the dining area was very smart, clean and comfortable. We didn't use the gym or spa facilities, but, if I'm honest, for the price we paid I wasn't expecting a spa! The hotel itself is set in very large grounds as well so it feels spacious and 'rural'. I highly recommend this hotel and we will stay at this hotel again, next time we'll also use the spa facilities.

We were checked in by a lovely lady (I unfortunately don't correctly remember her name but I think Izzy) who welcomed with a lovely smile. The rooms are decent and comfortable. Amazing facilities like 24*7 bar, swimming pool, sauna, gym and jacuzzi. Absolutely Enjoyed my stay

I booked two nights from 30/01/2026 to 1/02/2026 for my stay with my partner. I initially made a mistake and booked two different room types and couldn’t modify on the app. The staff at the reception were too kind to help me sort it out. After check in, the receptionist (I unfortunately didn’t catch her name) was kind enough to call our room and check up on us. The room was gorgeous everything was in place and better than we expected. We however needed more towels and again it was sorted out at the reception. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes from Cambridge Station, but it feels like another world out there, like being in a dream. We particularly enjoyed the pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and my personal favourite breakfast. All members of staff we interacted with were friendly and easy to talk to, the residents were polite and myself and my partner had a time of our lives. We are looking forward to coming back again soon.

Top class all around! Booked a lunch at their restaurant to celebrate my daughter’s Christening recently and there were 30 of us. Umut kept us (Audie) well informed while Emily assisted us with arranging everything, and I have to say very well impressed with how efficient and organised this hotel operates! Food and timing was superb! Brandon and staff at the restaurant were all great! Lunch was excellent and 5 star for cleanliness! We then stayed the night and was placed in one of their executive rooms- Toilet a bit run down but very clean and room itself was great! We made use of their pool with our 7 month old baby (bit of jacuzzi for me too!) it was a perfect staycation for what has been a busy few weeks for us!! Breakfast buffet was excellent. All Staff were always polite, friendly and very welcoming all throughout our stay. We had a great time, thanks for accommodating us.

Restaurant staff is very friendly, many thanks to Marta, Leoni, David, Callum L, Sam, Andy, Jordan, Opal, Nick. You've made evening meals very enjoyable, many thanks to David ( the Chef) .. food has been crazy amazing!!! 5 stars to each and everyone of you.

It was OK, menu was restrictive and out of our expense budget and the beer horrendously expensive. On the first night some of the food was so quick it had to be microwave and the team were not impressed by the quality. Out of our group of six the food was highly variable, sufficient for us to go out to eat for the rest of the week. My burger was scrummy though, I think I had the best of the bunch. Oh the WiFi was very much hit and miss, it was difficult to work.

Stayed here several times over the years and keep going back for short breaks to Cambridge. Rooms have recently been modernised. Comfy beds. Nice pool and gym. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are great. Really no complaints

A lovely hotel set in an excellent place. Clean rooms and surroundings. Complimenty iced water available at the reception area. A lovely pool and gym which I had access to. The staff reception at the pool were very efficient and informative, with a smile too. I was there enough to enjoy/ use all available to me. I did on departure treat myself to a coffee at The Starbucks on site with was made nicely. However, I was waiting in excess of 35 minutes before served as only one member of staff serving there. Down side is there is no lift, so those who need help getting up and down stairs would need to ensure your room is on the ground floor.
